About the Hunter Olive Association
MISSION:
To support a profitable and
sustainable Hunter Region Olive industry.
VISION:
1.
To assist the development and promotion of the
olive industry within the Hunter region.
2.
To promote Hunter olives and olive products
throughout the industry in all states of Australia and overseas.
3.
To provide members with information on all
aspects of the industry by way of newsletters, workshops etc.
4.
To co-operate with the Australian Olive
Association and other regional associations within Australia.
5.
To encourage best practise and quality
assurance at all stages of olive production to ensure world
competitiveness.
OBJECTIVES
1.
Quality. The development of the region as a source
of top quality olive fruit, olive oil and table fruit products.
2.
Horticulture. To build a base of horticultural knowledge of olives in
the Hunter from established sources and research.
3.
Infrastructure. Sufficient resources to support the Hunter olive industry
with trained labour, harvesting, pruning and processing.
4.
Market. A strong and recognisable Hunter Olive image for consumer
awareness.
5.
Information. Disseminate information about olives.
6.
Industry. Co-operate with other regional
associations to advance the Australian olive industry.
