Hunter Olive Show Awards evening. Last night was both a reward for hard work and a social evening for the growers who had entered our show and received awards. First congratulations to Steve Mitchell and Alan Smith ,the team who run the show, from setting dates, getting sponsors and judges, getting entries into anonymous but traceable bottles and recording all judges comments and marks, and finally running the awards night.Well done.
Our sponsors, Plasdene, Modern Olives and Adina had representatives present who presented their trophies and were happy to speak about their businesses’ involvement in our industry. While most present were local, hanks to Fedora Grove representative, Barry Hamilton for coming from Canberra and Steve Higgs from Merriwa. I would like to thank also Kate, manager of Adina, and her crew, also Emerson Restaurant, for their hospitality which set the scene for a most successful evening.
