HUNTER OLIVE ASSOCIATION AWARDS NIGHT

Following our show judging on Sept 21, the HOA , on October 10th, held our awards evening. This involved a lot of behind the scenes work, previously done by Alan Smith with Stephen Mitchell, taken on by Elizabeth Williams with Steve’s help. The catalogue is included in the newsletter for members.
Also included are a few photos taken by our member (and this year, award winner) James Lunin.

The evening was held at Tintilla again. Many thanks to the Lusby family. Fewer people than usual were present, in line with none of our locals having oil entries, but a good time was had by all, and it was appreciated that Simon de Nigro from Plasdene Glass, and Alex from Adina attended to present their trophies.
The big winner, as in the past few years was Fedra Grove represented by Barry Hamilton. In the Table Olive classes our local Hunter Olive Growers and Sellers, and Adina took home the main awards.
Congratulations to everyone who entered the show, I hope everyone has many baby olives on their trees now, and will have a bumper crop in the new year.
